Honest ads
How ads work
Ads keep this game free. Here's exactly how we use them.

Not released yet. Honest Blocks is still being built. This page describes the rules the game is being built to keep.
Never while you play
No ad ever interrupts a game, and none plays when the app opens. The only ad during a game is the optional undo ad, and only if you choose it. You never see an ad you did not ask for during play.
At most one between games
A short ad may play before your next game, no more than once every 4 minutes, and at most after every other game. None between games in your first 5 games. None after a game that lasted less than a minute.
You are told first
When an ad is coming, the Game over screen says so: "A short ad will play before your next game. We show one at most every 4 minutes and at most after every other game, never one you did not ask for during play." The Play again button carries the AD tag whenever an ad will follow it.
Optional ads are labelled
Any button that plays an ad shows an AD tag. You can always say no: the "No thanks" button is the same size as the ad button.
No banners, no tricks
No banner ads anywhere. No ads near buttons. We never add fake or hidden close buttons. No fake timers and no "offer ends soon".
The optional undo ad
You get one undo per game in Classic. Using it means: "Watch one short ad, usually 15 to 30 seconds."
- Google supplies the ads, so we cannot promise an exact length. "Usually" is the honest word.
- If the ad fails to load, you get the undo anyway.
- A game that used an undo is marked "assisted" and does not go on the leaderboards. That is true whether or not you paid, so the boards stay fair.
- The Daily Puzzle has no undo at all.
What kind of ads
- Ads come from Google AdMob. We use no other ad network.
- Ads never give coins, and coins never remove ads. Coins come only from playing.
- We ask Google for non-personalised ads for every player, everywhere.
- The game does not use your phone's advertising ID.
- We ask Google to show only ads rated for general audiences.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent message appears between games, never when you first open the app. Whichever you choose there, we still ask for non-personalised ads. More in the privacy policy
Remove every ad, one time
One purchase through Google Play. The price is the one Google Play shows you, about US$3.99 in the United States. It includes the optional ads, and your one undo per game becomes free. No subscription.
It restores on a new phone when you sign in with the same Google account. If the purchase is refunded, the ads come back.
Fair pieces
Every piece is chosen at random. The game never looks at your board to hand you pieces that don't fit. How fair pieces work
