The promise

  • No ads interrupt your game. At most one ad between games, no more than once every 4 minutes and at most after every other game, and none between games in a player's first 5 games. The only ad during a game is an optional undo ad the player chooses. Every ad rule
  • Fair pieces. Pieces are chosen at random. The game never looks at the board to choose them, and the odds are published in the game. How it works
  • One honest price. One purchase removes every ad. Nothing a player buys affects a leaderboard score.

The story

Honest Blocks is being built by one dad who got tired of block games full of ads and tricks. He wanted a block puzzle that tells players exactly how it makes money, shows the odds of every piece, and never interrupts a game. So he is building it.

Things worth knowing

  • No account, no sign-up, no chat. Leaderboard names are generated from word lists.
  • A Daily Puzzle gives everyone playing on the same date the same pieces.
  • Country leaderboards and a weekly Country Cup rank countries against each other.
  • The whole game works offline. Only leaderboards and sharing need a connection.
  • Large text, high-contrast blocks and colour-blind patterns are built in.
  • The open numbers page will publish downloads, ads and revenue each month after launch.
